Susanna Morrow
Soul Dance Instructor
Susanna Morrow MFA, PhD is a creator, teacher and scholar of the fine and performing arts. She has worked professionally as an actor and dancer for 15 years. Her articles have been published in Theatre, Dance and Performer Training and Theatre Topics. She was a member of the Human Communications and Theatre faculty at Trinity University from 2007-2015 (associate professor 2014). Now, she creates collages, journals, dances and rituals in her integrated arts studio in San Antonio, TX.
She first discovered conscious dance in 1998, attending Michael Molin-Skelton and Jo Cobbett’s “Sweat Your Prayers” class in Los Angeles, CA. Since then, she has attended many Soul Motion workshops (Vinn Marti, Michael Molin-Skelton). Her personal movement practice is inspired and mentored by Paul Oertel and Nancy Spanier (Discipline of Freedom). She is also influenced by Continuum Movement (Suzanne Wright Crane, Susan Harper).
