Joanna Heart
Joanna Heart is a 200 hour registered yoga teacher, and an experienced LCSW-S (clinical trauma therapist) in both Texas and Nevada. She incorporates mindful movements- 'asanas', guided meditation and breathing exercises, along with CBT, EMDR, DBT, ACT, and various other evidence-based treatment modalities addressing: depression, anxiety, trauma, anger, growth, self-love, and more.
Her journey to healing through yoga began after a car accident as a young adult where she acquired substantial injuries. A friend lent her a few yoga DVDs to help; it was love at first asana. Through her practice, she learned how yoga cultivates self-awareness and inner peace along with healing the body, mind, and spirit. Now her goal is to passionately spread the light with others.
Joanna’s mission is to fuse yoga and mental health therapy for wholistic healing and self-actualization. Her personal values are love, courage, harmony, health, faith, and compassion.
